High Rigidity Vertical Turning Center that Simultaneously Delivers Heavy Duty and High Precision Machining

The SMEC SLV Series consisting of the SLV 500/M, SLV 8500/M and SLV 1000/M are high precision vertical turning centers with 12~32-inch chucks with a wide work range with up to Ø1,000mm turning diameter and 955mm maximum turning length. The Meehanite cast structure designed to minimize thermal growth and box guideways on all axes maintains high precision during heavy duty cutting. And the robust servo turret reduces cycle time by supporting high cutting feedrates and the large capacity coolant system enhances chip disposal efficiency.
